Born and raised in sunny Southern California, she spent her afternoons cluttering the sidewalk with chalk drawings of flowers, puppies, and the occasional awkward family portraits.
From the age of three, Lauren knew that she wanted to be some kind of artist. Lauren moved to New York City to pursue a degree in advertising and graphic design from the School of Visual Arts, where she learned silkscreening, book binding, and stamp carving. Though she enjoyed the precision and speed that comes with working on the computer, the heart of my craft lies within the uncertain beauty of the handmade. Lauren quickly found that she’s the happiest when she’s creating; so, when Lauren is not working, you can find her baking yummy things, sewing funny pillows, or drawing pretty letters.
